I have heard lots of nostalgic comments about our pets and how they are indeed part of our family....BUT....the following story was going around in an e-mail and it really makes you see animals in a new light. I did not "snope it" because whether it is true or not is irrelevant.

The "message" is without a doubt the most profound statement I have ever heard about animals. If this statement was indeed made by the young child in this story....it is a classical example of the ol' cliche.."out of the mouths of babes!" If not..."WHO CARES!"

Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog's owners, Ron, his wife, Lisa, and their little boy, Shane, were all very attached to Belker and they were hoping for a miracle. I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family there were no miracles left for Belker, and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home.

As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for the four-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience.

The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker's family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully a way.

The little boy seemed to accept Belker's transition without any difficulty or confusion. We sat together for a while after Belker's death, wondering loud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives.

Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, "I know why." Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I'd never heard a more comforting explanation.

He said, "People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life -- like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?" The four-year-old continued, "Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay as long."

Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.

Dr. James Dobson: We're at War With Muslims

America is at war, and the enemy are Muslims, Dr. James C. Dobson, chairman and founder of the powerful Focus on the Family organization, told this weekend's "2006 Values Voters Summit" in Washington.

"We're in a war and it's time that we recognized it," Dobson said, emphasizing that he doesn't think all Muslims want to kill Americans. He said, however, there is a percentage - even if it's only 4 percent, or close to 50 million people - who do.

According to the Washington Times, Sen. George Allen of Virginia, was among the Republican presidential hopefuls speaking to the conference. Allen said the 1,000 people attending they could "count on me" in the fight for conservative values, such as stopping judges from "legislating from the bench."



Answering questions about his religious background, Sen. Allen revealed his Jewish ancestry, denying that he was embarrassed by his heritage.


Allen told reporters that his mother concealed her Jewish heritage for years and recently swore him to secrecy about it because she was "seared" by the pain of the Holocaust and thought "that anti-Semitism, that persecution" would harm her children.

"INTOLERANCE?"

One of the demands being made on Christians and Jews today is to be TOLERANT and POLITICALLY CORRECT of just about EVERYTHING so we don't offend anyone. In fact it appears that we should be apologetic for believing in Christianity or Judaism in the first.

We are told that if we do not embrace this "love and accept everyone" attitude that we are failing our own religion. I find it VERY interesting that the ones who say this are either New Age agnostics or even atheists and as the recent Benedict XVI fiasco demonstrates..the Muslims! Yepper..those peaceful, forgiving and compassionate "living fossils" from the 10th Century insist on our tolerance of their agenda to "take over" the world in the name of their god allah. They expect we should be willing and totally cooperative as they slice our heads off! It is our duty as "infidels!"

(As a Catholic I am indeed embarrassed Benedict XVI gave into political correctness and said he has "deep respect" for Islam. Notice that it hasn't helped him one "iota!" I suppose being a "Head of State" like President Bush...he is unfortunately expected to behave this way. Ahmadinejad and Chavez may be "crack pots" BUT they sure got guts to realize that "political correctness" will kill them! If we don't realize this ourselves we are doomed!)

I am suppose to feel guilty and responsible for being so bigoted and racist and an intolerant "infidel." I am suppose to feel that I am failing Jesus by thinking like this. Well folks...THIS IS EXACTLY HOW THESE GUYS WANT YOU TO THINK. They know they can use our faith against us, they count on it. They have convinced the New Agers that thinking this way causes the problems. Well...wake up New Age thinkers...the transition you guys are "buzzing for" might include bursas for our women and beards and "rags" for us men and bowing towards Mecca 15 times a day in repetitious prayers to the pseudo-god allah. They know that the ONLY way they can destroy us is to make us feel that we are failing our Faith by being intolerant of them. It's working folks.

Well..... I personally feel there is know way you can say you have true Faith if you are ashamed of John 14:6 "Jesus said to them, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." You either believe this statement to be TRUTH or you pretend it means something else and therefore no body is wrong.

Unfortunately, too many Christians believe this way. Well...the Muslims don't...they
are convinced they are right and to the point they are willing to kill themselves and us in God's name! I am not advocating "nukeing" them or harming them in any way. That would be total rebellion against God...BUT...being politically correct saying they are right also is actually worse than "nukeing" them. In fact..our God will hold us accountable for not bringing His Gospel of Love to them.

What I advocate is telling them they are loved by God as any man, women or child on Earth is and that this God Incarnated as Yahshua Ben Joseph (Jesus) to rescue all of us from this "vale of tears." We must bring this Gospel of Love in the state of love. It cannot be forced. BUT...if they reject it and go away..that's God's department. If they violently attack you for sharing this TRUTH with them...you not only have the right to defend yourself but you are also obligated by God to do so. The God I speak of is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob...the God of the Holy Bible..YHWH by Name...."IAM"

Are we bringing the Gospel to Muslims? Some are and they are being Martyred for it. Unfortunately, I think most of us are being "politically correct" about it. WE HAVE NO CHOICE...WE WAKE UP AND DEFEND THE GOSPEL OR WE LOSE OURSELVES AND THEM!

Alice & I spent 4 days in London in 2001 with our two 10 year-old grandsons, and had a hotel near Marble Arch. About 1/3 of the people on the street and 2/3 of the restaurants were Arabic, but we did not see any problems at the time. It is obvious that conditions have changed radically since then. Bill This was forwarded to me. It is scary. VIKI & JIM, JOHN AND I WERE DISTURBED TO FIND THAT LONDON HAS CHANGED IN JUST TWO YEARS. THE AREA NEAR MARBLE ARCH AND OXFORD STREET WERE FILLED WITH MUSLIM WOMEN WEARING BLACK COVERING EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE EYES, OTHER WOMEN WEARING OTHER GARMENTS COVERING EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE FACE. JERUSALEM – Pope Benedict XVI's apologies for worldwide reaction to his remarks about Islam and his invitation today for Muslim leaders to meet with him next week are "mere diplomatic acts" and prove the pontiff does not really regret his words, a prominent Gaza Strip preacher told WND.

Sheik Abu Saqer, leader of Gaza's Jihadia Salafiya Islamic outreach movement, which seeks to make secular Muslims more religious, called for holy war against the pope.

He said Christian leaders such as Benedict are "afraid" because they realize Islam is Allah's favorite religion and they are going to hell unless they convert. The Gaza preacher declared the "green flag of Muhammad" would soon be raised over the Vatican.

"We did not need the words of the pope in order to understand that this is a Crusader war against Islam and it is our holy duty to fight all those who support the pope, who follow him and who did not condemn what this small racist had to say," said Abu Saqer, speaking to WND from the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis.

"The day will soon come when the green flag of La Illah Illah Allah (There is no god but Allah) and Muhammad Rasul Allah (Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah) will be raised upon the Vatican and all around the world and on the fortresses of those who want to destroy Islam, because they know that this religion obliges them to face the truth that Islam is Allah's favorite religion. And until they join Islam, hell is their last station," Abu Saqer said.

Nearly a dozen Christian churches have been burned and hundreds of people forced to seek refuge in a police station by Muslims who rioted through the Nigerian city of Dutse, and they blamed their actions on a "comment" made by a Christian woman.

According to a Reuters report, authorities in the city imposed a night curfew this week to try to quell the violence allegedly triggered by a statement by a woman that Muslims said was a blasphemy to Mohammad.

Scores of houses and shops owned by Christians also were burned in the Jigawa state capital city, police spokesman Haz Iwendi reported. There also were some injuries, but no fatalities, he said.

"Eleven churches and so many houses and shops were burned," he told Reuters. "The house of the Anglican bishop also was ransacked."

Had an interesting conversation with a lady of Hispanic origin last week. She told me that she planned to come down to St. Mary's and get a job in Admissions (where I work). When I pointed out that we didn't have any openings, she advised me that "soon" current employees will have to be fired to hire bi-lingual employees. According to this lady, the Spanish-speaking people of the US are going to demand that all public facilities like hospitals, courthouses, etc. - be staffed by people who read, speak and comprehend Spanish.

We hear about the silent majority, but I think we are going to have to speak up or find ourselves a conquered country. That would be an interesting historical note - greatest land in the world conquered by Mexico without ever firing a shot!

Write your Congressman and Senators urging them support legislation that would require citizenship to be eligible for social services in the United States. No amnesty and no free services for illegal immigrants and to make ENGLISH as our "official" language and to require those who live and work in our country to learn ENGLISH, not make US citizens conform to Spanish.

Hyper-Partisans
Nothing stands in the way of their belief system. Not facts, not provable truth.

Are you a hyper-partisan? If so, stop it right now. These people are damaging America and I'm calling them out.

First, a definition: A hyper-partisan is a person who does not seek the truth; rather, he or she tailors information to fit a preconceived political viewpoint. What is actually happening in the world is not important to these ideological zombies; it's all about reinforcing their core beliefs.

Thus, no matter what President Bush does for example, he's wrong. There is absolutely nothing the man can do that would please the hyper-partisans who oppose him. On the opposite ideological page, Bill and Hillary Clinton are Satan's spawn. They are evil all day, every day.

How boring is this? If it were just a few Kool-Aid drinking nuts, no one would care. But now you have entire media outlets that have gone hyper-partisan. Newspapers like The Boston Globe and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution are just about entirely left wing. Yes, their circulations are in a freefall, but no journalistic enterprise should be hyper-partisan.

One of the Biblical signs that points to the eminent "Second Coming of the Christ" is that people will call "evil good and good evil." Yesterday we witnessed the personification of this happening at the United Nations. Not just by one servant of the "devil" BUT two! The "cunningness" of one of them...Ahmadenejad, dictator of Iran and the "stupidity" of the other..Hugo Chavez..dictator of Venezuela demonstrates just how far we have come into Lewis Carroll's world of "Alice in Wonderland." We know these guys are our enemy but even our own people are "falling" for the lies of satan....Harry Belafonte, Danny Glover, Cindy Sheehan, Howard Dean, Ted Kennedy, Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Ried, John Kerry and unfortunately too many others. AND.....one of the most "alarming" of signs is the recent attacks on Benedict XVI by Islam for what amounted to be "making mountains out of mole hills." Unfortunately, there has always been a negative view of the Roman Catholic Pontiff by many of our Protestant bretheran and I fear all the recent negative publicity will make things worse.

When you add the Biblical "Fig Tree Prophecy" sign of May 14, 1948 (Israel re-established as a Sovereign Nation) to this "Alice in Wonderland Syndrome"..."ya better keep your eyes on the sky...your redemption draws nigh" (translated this means to seriously consider John 14:6: "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

"IS POLITICAL CORRECTNESS REALLY HELPING US?"

This sure has been an interesting week for the "politically correct." Political correctness is thought to be the key to understanding that will result in peace between all people. It is suppose to foster tolerance of those who think differently than us. I submit that political correctness is a subtle tool of the devil that ultimately detroys the human spirit.

Case in point.... Benedict XVI, talking to a group of Catholic Bishops at a University in Germany about the history of religious intolerance and violence by quoting a 14th Century cleric was misconstrued as an attack against Islam that resulted in an "angry outcry" of all of Islam and the killing of a Catholic Nun and the burning of many Catholic Churches and generated MORE hatred of Christianity.

Personally...I believe this was agitated by the Islam clerics. The Pope apologized for the unfortunate reaction by Islam but did not make an actual apology to the words of the 14th Century cleric. How could he, he wasn't the one who said the things that Islam was questioning. Unfortuneately, in his attempt to diffuse the issue using political correctness because of the way he views his position as a world leader, he has actually created a worse case scenario. Islam looks at him as being weak and they WILL take advantage of it! Being a Catholic, I am ashamed that he said that he "deeply repects Islam." This is not only giving into political correctness but has given Islam the appearance of being the ones who have suffered. How come he doesn't demand apology from Islam's reaction. (For that matter how come Islam hasn't apologized for 9/11?)

A second case in point....Our President has committed a similar error in giving into political correctness by his "cowtowing" to world leaders at the UN and demonstrating his weakness in his resolve that we are the "good" guys in this War on Terror. What did it get him? First Amahadinejad uses our President's position as a weakness in the eyes of world leaders and he is even further "trumped" by Hugo Chavez spewing out his "poisonous venom" today against our Country to the APPLAUSE of these same world leaders! We are so affraid that we will offend somebody that we actually are perceived as "offending" somebody! We are hated BECAUSE we allow ourselves to be hated! We have lost faith in ourselves to the point that we are now starting to agree with 3rd world dictators that we are the "bad guys." Hollywood sure thinks so!

Yes...we are living in an "Alice in Wonderland World" where GOOD is now called EVIL and EVIL is GOOD. (By the way....this is a Biblical sign of TRANSITION. Add the "Fig Tree" of May 14, 1948 and you better start looking up, "your redemption draws nigh!"!)

"THE END TIMES and THE CITY of DAVID"

There is a lot of chatter these days about the "end." End of what? World? Planet? Political System? Physical reality? The answers vary depending on what paradigm one chooses and even then there are differences. I suspect there is much wisdom to the statement made by the late Charles Schultz........

Using the paradigm of Judeo-Christian philosophy revealed in the Bible, the World doesn't "end" as we think. One interpretation from the Bible is that the World is "renewed" under a new "Kingdom" established by YHWH God Himself...."The Kingdom of Heaven" becomes the Kingdom of our Lord on Earth. Does this mean the "Intergalactic Federation of Star Nations" comes to Earth? Interesting interpretation to say the least but one that no longer seems far-fetched when one considers the "reality" presented by the String Theory. (In String Theory...the Spiritual Realm and the Physical Realm differ ONLY in "frequency" so that the "supernatural" becomes the "undiscovered natural" which seems to be a really good reason why there are so many people "bashing" String Theory today!)

One thing is for sure.....the "seat" of this new government will be located in ONE VERY specific location. The religious world may think it to be Rome, Constantinople, Canterbury, Salt Lake City, Mecca, or Medina depending on your religious pespective BUT none of these are that "special" location. Some think it to be "in our hearts", a misinterpretation of Jesus.

I suspect that the true location of this future "seat" of government was hidden in the "Fig Tree Prophecy" of the Old Testament that was fulfilled on May 14, 1948 when Israel became a Nation. I also suspect that this is why anti-Semitism is so rapidly increasing throughout the world once again. According to Biblical Prophecy, "It was Jerusalem alone, the City of David, which YHWH God chose to become His dwelling place FOREVER"...Psalm 132.

All World events.... up to 9-11 and the resulting War on Terror, is really a religious war between the "infidel" Judeo-Christian and Islam .....and it sure seems to be the signs of the fulfillment of "time" and the Second Coming of the Messiah. According to Biblical Prophecy..that event occurs when the Messiah arrives at the Mount of Olives at the Temple Mount in JERUSALEM. It is at this time the 4th World of EGO is replaced by the 5th World of God's Kingdom fulfilling the prophecies of Isaiah and Micah...."They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks and they will war no more."

"BIOETHICS?"

George Orwell's "Brave New World" described in his book "1984" was not that far fetched or that far off from reality. In 2006, a mere 22 years later, we have a world thrown into religious conflict between the Judeo-Christian West and Islam, we have unwarranted wire taps in the name of national security as a result of the fruits of this conflict on 9/11/2001 that placed our Nation of laws protected by our Constitution on the "slippery slope" to totalitarianism.
We have the "trashing" of our Constitution by a judicial system infiltrated by fanatical liberals on religious and human rights. They are slowly and successfully eliminating "religious faith issues" under the guise of "separation of Church and State", rejecting that the Constitution also guarantees that the state cannot deny those issues as well. They eliminated the "right to life" of one group of citizens..."the unborn, developing citizens in the womb" in favor of the rights of another group of citizens... "the female sex" of our species, who are biologically responsible for propagation of our species since they are obviously the only ones capable of protecting the development process of our unborn citizens, hidden under the guise of a Constitutional right of privacy. This is a totally illogical position because it concludes that the rights of one group is greater than another's. The argument that a developing baby is the mother's body and therefore she has some inalienable right to terminate the child is biologically untrue. Sexual reproduction with Eutherian Development is a condition of our species and human law has no logical jurisdiction over it. Thinking that a child is "ours" is the basis of the erroneous conclusion that we have rights greater than the unborn. Mathematical statistics proves the rights of the unborn in that this unborn child is genetically unique and WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN IN ALL OF ETERNITY.

The sexual revolution, spured on by effective birth control methods such as the "pill" was said to set the stage for an eventual decline of morality and a "slippery slope" that would destroy the fabric of civilization. It sure has helped cause the decline of the Judeo-Christian moral system and the practice of the faith. SITUATION ETHICS HAS REPLACED RELIGION WITH THE "NEW RELIGION OF LIBERALISM." In addition to the "pill" we have witnessed the following movement "down the slope"......Roe vs Wade, RU-486 and the most recent addition to the arsenal of WMD's against humanity..."PLAN B".

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their belief systems.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.

When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked: "Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"

There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, "Non-believers!"

I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to Heaven. Is that correct?"

I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Billy Graham ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to Heaven!"

The Imam was speechless. I continued, "I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me.

Let me ask you a question. Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order to go to Heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to Heaven and he wants you to be with me?"

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.

Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the Diversification' training seminar were not happy with Rick's way of dealing with the Islamic Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslim's beliefs.

I think everyone in the US should be required to read this, but with the justice system and media, and the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized. "New Third Party Proposal"

An observation.....since the campaign season is now in full swing...I notice that the issue that seems to be popping up between Democrats and Republicans is really a battle between Fundamental Christianity and liberalism! Read my recent post at http://thedoubtingthomasjourney.blogspot.com/ THERE ARE NO DEMOCRATS OR REPUBLICANS IN POWER...JUST REPUBLICRATS! I would like to register as an Independent as Joe Lieberman is now but they are not allowed to vote in primaries so you are stuck with candidates the Dems put up and the Repubs put up! At least as an "Independent" Republican I can still vote in primaries and vote for who I think is the better person in the general election.

Many have tried a 3rd Party including Ross Perot and now Joe Lieberman by default because he didn't follow party lines. It would be nice to think such a political movement would make a difference. Hopefully Joe will win as an Indepenent.

Well...maybe the answer to the 3rd party we need in this country is a combination of all intelligent, independaent thinking people joining the Dems and Repubs and "taking over" BOTH parties. Maybe we could call this the "Independent Democans" party! If all of these "real" Americans registered as Independent and other minor parties registered instead in both the Democrat and Republican Parties, it could make a huge difference by controlling the primary election process. Why should "we" be stuck with the candidates the "elite" Democrats and "elite" Republicans put up? !!! If we want to "win" back our country..WE MUST INFILLTRATE!

Covert politics is the answer like in the old saying.."If we can't beat 'em, join 'em" AND then we "beat them from the inside." If you are an Independent or some other party...you are merely voting for candidates that the Republicrats choose. Kind of dumb if you think about it. Everyone should register as a Democrat or Republican so we can take over the "primary process."

Until then...maybe we should vote against all incumbents! Pax...DT
